Smaller Police Department Technical Assistance Program

Since 1997, the Smaller Police Department Technical Assistance Program has been providing resources for the largest portion of IACP's membership, departments serving fewer than 25,000 residents or with 25 or less sworn officers.

76% of U.S. Police agencies have fewer than 25 officers.

An Advisory Group of smaller agency executives, who assist in the development and distribution of resources, guides the IACP Research Center Directorate’s, Smaller Agency Program.
